KTECH Project Services was contracted to lead the effort to replace the existing air handling units that serves 8 of the 15 Operating Rooms in the OR Suite. The new air handling units included a variable frequency drive controlled fan array and an upgrade to direct digital controls The Operating rooms received a direct digital controls upgrade and a reheat valve replacement. In addition, the ductwork was cleaned on the return and exhaust ductwork from the mechanical room to each Operating Room. This project improved the interior environment in the perioperative suite by increasing the ability to maintain temperature, humidity levels and design pressurization.
