Patient Tower Air Handling Unit Replacement

KTECH Project Services was contracted to lead the effort to replace the existing air handling units that served patient floors Level 4 South and Level 5 South of the hospital. Two new air handling units were installed for each floor and were equipped with supply fan variable frequency drives and the controls were upgraded from pneumatics to direct digital control. Duct cleaning was completed on the supply and return ducts from the mechanical room to each patient room. In addition, the main hospital exhaust fans were replaced and variable frequency drives were installed. The hospital’s main elevator equipment rooms were also upgraded with split system air-conditioning units.
