Moffitt Cancer Center
Tampa, Florida
KTECH Project Services was contracted to lead the effort and manage the installation of an 8,000 gallon above ground double wall diesel fuel tank at the Moffitt Research Center, and a 12,000 gallon above ground double wall diesel fuel tank at the McKinley Center. Both systems included a new diesel fuel filtering and polishing system was also installed to integrate fuel inventory, alarms and generator status to the existing Building Management System (BMS). The new fuel tank was needed as a redundancy to the current system as well as to provide over 90 hours of generator run time. KTECH staff extensively coordinated with the client staff to complete this project with no down time to the hospital or emergency generation system.
